Following the first-time application of any of the products a short-term worsening in the appearance of the skin can result.
This is due to the effect of the sulfonated shale oil, through which impurities are literally “pulled out” of the skin. The characteristic odour of sulfonated shale oil causes an intensive sense of smell during the application of the Tonicum toning lotion.  As a result of its special composition, already registered for patent, this odour quickly evaporates. 

As long as the toning lotion is being used it is advisable to use a high-factor sunscreen.
